This is a picture of one of the keepers at Healesville Sanctuary enjoying the spring sunshine with one of their gorgeous orphan baby wombats. This little cutie is without a name, so during these school holidays get along to Healesville Sanctuary and see if you can give him one!
Here is a list of the daily presentations (below), to help you get the most out of your visit:
Land of Parrots 10.30am-3.30pm
Cool Conservation Roving Encounter 11.00am
Tasmanian devils 1.30pm
Spirits of the Sky (birds of prey flight presentation) 12.00pm and 2.30pm
Dingoes 3.30pm (plus look out for them on their daily walk)
You can also book a special close encounter where you can get up close to some of our Aussie icons, such as dingoes, koalas, kangaroos and echidnas. You can even get up close with the playful platypus in the special Wade with the Platypus encounter.
There is so much to do at Healesville Sanctuary, particularly during school holiday time, so why not pack your bags and stay the night at Sanctuary House Resort Motel. We are located only 400 metres from the sanctuary and are an ideal base for exploring the Yarra Valley. Ask about our special packages, some of which include complimentary entry to Healesville Sanctuary.
